Acne's Colorful World Depicted in Cubist Patchwork [Resort 2016]

Jul 8, 2015

Acne Studios presented its Resort 2016 collection. Genderless models wore the collection, characterized by DIY patchwork and geometric motifs. Drawing inspiration from Cubist painter Albert Gleizes and spray painter Mario Schifano, the bold and powerful expression of the collection lies within. The collection's core is patchwork, perfectly balanced in color. Basic colors like linen beige, indigo, black, and white are combined with accent colors like hot pink and fire red in color-blocked and layered arrangements, creating the Acne universe. Fabrics used, including silk twill, linen, suede, and silk organza, offer unique textures, creating a three-dimensional visual effect through the color combinations. The silhouettes feature Acne's signature minimalist, flowing, clean lines, while long sleeves add a relaxed, relaxed feel. Around the neck is a choker necklace that stands out like a tattoo, and on the feet are pumps or heels with striking cut-off details, adding a subtle spice to the whole look.
