VIKTOR&ROLF Monsieur presented their Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection at Paris Men's Fashion Week. Inspired by French novelist Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth," this season's theme, "Monsieur," embodied the image of a curious gentleman. Darts and ultra-slim silhouettes emphasized vertical lines, while unconstructed tailoring created a relaxed atmosphere. Playful pieces were also featured, such as a printed shirt created in collaboration with Dutch artist Piet Perla. The collection also showcased looks that combined traditional and technical materials, such as satin and gabardine, and a wool trench coat and nylon coat. The color palette featured various shades of black interwoven with dark earth tones like brown and green, with mineral-based ruby red as an accent color.
