Dutch club event "SENSATION" will make its Japan debut this October. A press conference for the media was held in Ebisu on July 8th, featuring Joost, Chief Marketing Officer of "SFX Europe," the event's organizer, and Ryoko Yonekura, its ambassador. With a uniform all-white dress code and all-white décor throughout the venue, "SENSATION" has been dubbed "the most beautiful festival in the world." Launched in the Netherlands in 2000, it quickly gained popularity worldwide and is now held in 33 countries. Joost personally revealed details about the event, including the date set for October 10th and the venue being Makuhari Messe in Chiba. In recent years, EDM-focused club events like "ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL," "Electric Daisy Carnival," "Tomorrowland," and "Electric Zoo" have been creating excitement around the world, but what makes "SENSATION" stand out is the "storytelling" woven through the show, featuring dancers, lasers, fireworks, and other spectacular displays. The first show in Japan will feature "Wicked Wonderland," which has sold out in all 14 countries. Jost exuded confidence, saying, "You'll be able to experience a fairytale-like dream world in the heat of the moment." Also, why is the dress code "white"? In response to this question, he revealed the surprising truth: "The founder of SENSATION started out with the goal of creating the biggest club event in the Netherlands. But halfway through that journey, his brother passed away. We wear white not to mourn his death, but to celebrate life, and in this way to mourn his brother. That's why you can't enter the venue unless you're wearing white."
A person who symbolizes the all-white world of SENSATION also made an appearance that day. His name is "Mr. White." Although he doesn't speak at all and left no comments, Joost spoke again about his role. "He is the central figure of SENSATION, he is SENSATION itself. His job is to start the story of SENSATION with the best music. That's why he has DJed at every event that has been held so far, and you could say he is the most important person in the history of SENSATION." Last year, "ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL" was held, and this year, "SENSATION" and "Electric Zoo" are making their Japan debuts. Regarding this, Jost commented, "If you look at the lineup for FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, you'll see that demand for EDM in Japan has been growing rapidly recently.
