Colorful and pop "Summer Festival" nails made with limited edition Essie colors [Today's item]

Jul 11, 2015

In this series, nail artist JUNKO offers easy and stylish do-it-yourself nail art tips and tricks. For today's nail art, the 11th day, she used the classic polish brand, Essie. "Since Rebecca Minkoff became the color designer, the brand has introduced more unique color variations than ever before. This limited-edition color collection, inspired by summer festivals, is also very colorful and pop. The art is also perfect for beach and festival scenes. I created a youthful and energetic design that can be enjoyed in the summer," says JUNKO. Essie is known for its clear and vibrant colors. The playful limited-edition colors go well together, allowing you to enjoy color combinations with light and unique nuances. The light green S914 and purple-pink S917 have a matte finish without a coating. This time, a glossy top coat was used to unify the texture.

■Items Used
Essie Nail Polish S913, S914, S915, S916, S917 1,500 yen each

■How to
(1) Shape the hands into a short, round shape.
(2) Once the clear base coat has dried, use cut masking tape (or cellophane tape if you don't have any) to outline a square and fill in the five colors: S914, S913, S915, S916, and S917.
(3) Paint the feet in a single color. As shown in the photo, arrange the colors so that the fingers on the hands are different colors.
