MOOSIC LAB 2015, a unique film festival showcasing music and film through collaborations between up-and-coming film directors and artists, will be held again this year from August 22nd to September 11th at K's cinema (Shinjuku, Tokyo). The festival's poster visuals and trailer have been released ahead of the event. Launched in 2012, MOOSIC LAB is an event that brings together up-and-coming film directors and artists to produce films, which are then screened in a competition and band battle format. Past participants include musician Seiko Omori, idol group BiS, and director Rikiya Imaizumi, whose film "Dodgy Cat," a depiction of "21st-century bad love," has garnered acclaim at film festivals both in Japan and abroad.

Now in its fourth year, this year's competition section will feature films such as "My Cut," a collaboration between Oneyama Yurika (film director and actress) and "Maison Book Girl" (idol unit), "101st Bed-In" by Salmon Sakeyama (actor) and "Bed-In" (underground idol group), "Nemoshisuta" by Nemoto Muneko (screenwriter and director) and "Senoshisuta" (local idol group), and "Domino Mask: Revenge of the Movie," a collaboration between Muroya Shintaro (filmmaker) and Slender Shy Boy (Yokohama singer).

In addition, archive screenings of past films will be held, as well as a wide selection of specially invited works from outside the festival. Screenings include Yamashita Nobuhiro's masterpiece "Linda Linda Linda," starring Bae Doona, which will be screened on 35mm film, "100 Yen Love" (directed by Take Masaharu) starring Ando Sakura, and "I Feel Pathetic If You Only Think About Yourself" (directed by Matsui Daigo) starring Ikematsu Sosuke.

This year's trailer was created by 19-year-old filmmaker Suzuki Kenta. Sato Rei, who won the Best Actress award for last year's "Moosic Lab," was chosen as the image model.
