With the summer vacation season upon us, Isetan Shinjuku is offering six itineraries titled "Summer Vacation @ ISETAN," exploring various areas of the building. One of the itineraries is the "My Couture, My Custom" order and customization project, currently taking place on the second floor of the main building, perfect for fashion lovers. This promotion aims to provide an opportunity for customers to discover unique fashion items, crafted by hand or with haute couture, in addition to a customization project that emphasizes digital elements. The promotion offers support for craftspeople from various angles, including "Makers' Base," a members-only workshop for those interested in fabrication; "SINA SUIEN," which creates hand-embroidered pieces; "5knot," a surf-trip-inspired fashion brand; and "Un Nuage by Kyoko Kumoi," which specializes in artistic bead embroidery. "Makers' Base" offers customization workshops that combine digital and analog techniques. Customers can have their drawings printed on materials such as genuine leather. With the assistance of staff, customers can create items such as a clasp pouch (¥6,000) or clutch bag (¥8,000). "5knot" offers a customization project (¥39,000) where customers can select and attach scarves, patches, and chains to vintage bags sourced from Europe and elsewhere. This vintage bag is a selection from the brand's "classic"-themed 15-16 Fall/Winter collection. Also in-store, you can watch Yumiko Ariki, an artist at "SINA SUIEN," embroider stitch by stitch. Same-day delivery is possible for initials. Even the same dove on a handkerchief (¥3,000) is embroidered with a slightly different gradation, creating an item that evokes the warmth of a hand. During the same period, ReStyle TOKYO, located on the same floor, will also be offering a T-shirt customization project (starting at ¥11,000). Unique designs by five illustrators, including Tonda Hayashi Ran and Yoshimizu Taku of "SwimmyAnimalLab," will be available in store.
Even adult women who no longer have summer homework can find their creative juices flowing during summer vacation. With the days getting hotter, why not try customizing and ordering your own items in the cool confines of the building?
