Amabro releases new "Tesio Plates" expressing the world of "Moomin" through traditional Japanese painting

Jul 25, 2015

The product brand "amabro" has released a new product in collaboration with "Moomin," the "MOOMIN×amabro SOMETSUKE - Teshio-Zara -" (1,000 yen).

The collaboration features teshio-zara (salt-based plates) featuring Moomin characters in blue and white porcelain, a pigment known as gosu, which is often used on porcelain such as Arita ware. The new products feature three motifs: "The Groke," "The Hemulen Aunt," and "Snufkin." Even the patterns around the edges of the plates are designed to reflect each character's personality.

An exclusive drawstring gift bag (500 yen) for the "MOOMIN×amabro SOMETSUKE - Teshio-Zara -" has also been released. The bag features a print of Moomin and Snorkmaiden holding presents, and can be freely combined with any of the eight teshio-zara (salt-based plates) to create the perfect gift.
