
Artist Amane Murakami's solo exhibition "JAPANESQUE - The Home of the Wajin" will be held at Gallery Speak For in Daikanyama, Tokyo, from May 24th to June 5th. This exhibition, the gallery's fourth, brings together Murakami's work from his early period to the present. Approximately 30 original works, including acrylic, silkscreen, and abstract paintings selected from works produced since 2006, as well as new works, will be on display and for sale. Items from his original brands, "amabro" and "MURASAKI," will also be available. A gallery talk featuring Murakami himself will be held at 6:30 PM on May 31st, where he will explain his work. In addition to his work as an artist, Murakami also works as an art director, designing CD covers and fashion catalogs. He is also responsible for the product brand "amabro" and the lifestyle brand "MURASAKI." He provides graphics every season to the fashion brands "Numero Uno" and "Intimate Diary."
