IKEA Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of IKEA, a Swedish home furnishing company with a vision of "creating a better everyday life for the many people," will begin selling rainbow-colored items in IKEA stores nationwide and on the IKEA online store from April 15, 2021, to support the realization of a society that respects diversity. IKEA will also support "Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2021," which will be held online from April 24.

The rainbow-colored STORSTOMMA bag is the latest addition to IKEA's best-selling FRAKTA bag. It retains the practicality of FRAKTA while incorporating the rainbow colors, which symbolize diversity. 30 yen will be donated for each domestic sale of this bag to a non-profit organization that supports LGBT+ people.
We will also be releasing a rainbow-colored front mesh cover for the ENEBY Bluetooth speaker. You can also enjoy a colorful update by replacing the front cover of the ENEBY Bluetooth speaker (sold separately). This product was inspired by an IKEA Japan co-worker's design of a rainbow-colored cover when they participated in Tokyo Rainbow Pride in 2019, and a Swedish development team was inspired to commercialize it. The product will now be released in 33 countries and regions, including Japan.
In addition, IKEA Japan will once again support the activities of Tokyo Rainbow Pride, as it did last year. We have prepared a virtual background of a room set decorated in rainbow colors so you can feel like you're taking part in Rainbow Pride from the comfort of your own home. Take a photo with a different room background than usual and share it on social media with the hashtags "#PrideAtHome2021" and "#RaiseYourSpeak, Change the World."
