Mistakes made into omelets: Jewellery from Stockholm, All Blues, makes its Japan debut

Dec 10, 2016

ALL BLUES, a jewelry brand from Stockholm, Sweden, has made its Japan debut. Their new capsule collection, "Ruined Omelette," is now available at BIOTOP in Shirokanedai, Tokyo. ALL BLUES is a unisex jewelry brand founded in Stockholm in 2010 by Fredrik Nathorst and Jacob Skragge. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans in a foundry in Stockholm that has been in business for three generations, using recycled sterling silver or 18-karat gold. ALL BLUES has been featured in numerous international publications, including Vogue, Elle, AnOther Magazine, Wallpaper, and T Magazine, and won the Best Accessory Designer award in an ELLE fashion contest. Furthermore, actress Emma Watson wore All Blues jewelry when she gave a speech calling for gender equality at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in September of this year.

Biotope began selling All Blues jewelry on December 9th. Furthermore, from December 9th to the 30th, Irving Place, the restaurant on the third floor of Biotop, will be serving a special menu to coincide with the brand's new capsule collection, "Ruined Omelette," which debuted in Japan.

The "Ruined Omelette" collection was inspired by creative director Frederik Nathorst accidentally dropping an egg on the floor while preparing breakfast. The collection consists of one necklace and three earrings, each inspired by the seemingly "failed" shape of an egg, with the shell cracked and the yolk and white crushed.

The jewelry also comes with a recipe book featuring an omelette recipe created by Stefano Catenacci, head chef of Stockholm's one-star Michelin restaurant Operakallaren, and is presented in special Christmas packaging with art direction by Nathorst and M/M Paris. The special menu offered at Biotope this time is a special omelette made from Stefano's recipe. Using red eggs from Yasuda Poultry Farm, the premium omelette is combined with rich ingredients. It will be offered as a limited-time menu with a glass of champagne. The price is 2,000 yen.
