Dolce & Gabbana Christmas tree lights up at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo

Dec 14, 2016

A Christmas tree designed by Dolce & Gabbana is on display on the 45th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo until December 25th.
The theme of this Christmas tree, Dolce & Gabbana's first in Japan, is "Sicily." It is decorated with a variety of icons from traditional puppet theater, such as medieval knights, ladies, and decorated carriages, which also appear in the brand's collections.
The tree is also decorated with carefully crafted blown glass ornaments, each hand-painted by artisans, featuring lemons, oranges, cacti, and Moorish faces, as well as Christmas lights unique to southern Italy and Sicilian puppets. The sparkling colors and lights convey a warm story of the Sicilian people's sense of unity with family and love for their homeland at Christmas.
