HanesBrands Japan Co., Ltd. will launch the second collaboration between Champion, the authentic American athletic wear brand, and global fashion designer Rick Owens, exclusively at the Champion official online store and Champion Brand House Shibuya Tokyo, from April 9th.
Following the success of the capsule collection that debuted at Paris Fashion Week in June 2019, the second collaboration celebrates Champion's rich athletic heritage and the modern aesthetic of Rick Owens' signature style, meticulously designed to balance creativity and sustainability.
Made from 100% organic cotton and recycled nylon, this collection is produced primarily using raw materials and materials sourced near the production site, and all packaging is plastic-free, using biodegradable materials and recycled paper.
In addition to the collection's traditional strong monochrome color palette, this season pale colors have been added as accent colors. All iconic products, including sweatshirts, T-shirts, lightweight outerwear, caps, and bags, have been reconstructed and finished with the collaboration's original champion logo.

About Rick Owens
Rick Owens launched his eponymous label in Los Angeles in 1994 and opened a store on Hollywood Boulevard. In 2003, he moved to Paris, where he set up his home and atelier in a historic five-story building that once housed the offices of former French President François Mitterrand. Since then, Owens' runway collections have been held in Paris.
Complementing his original women's and men's labels are his diffusion collections, RICKOWENSLILIES and DRKSHDW. In July 2005, he launched a furniture collection inspired by Art Deco and Brutalism, crafted from plywood, marble, and deer antler. His furniture collection has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Centre Pompidou, and the Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles.
His books include "L'ai-je Bien Descendu?" (2007), "Rick Owens" (2011), "Rick Owens Furniture" (2017), "Subhuman, Inhuman, Superhuman" (2018), "Rick Owens photographed by Danielle Levitt," and "Legaspi by Rick Owens" (both 2019). In 2002, he received the CFDA New Designer of the Year Award, in 2007 the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award and the Fashion Group International Rule Breaker Award, in 2017 the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2019 the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year and the Fashion Group International Superstar Award.
