Lumine Shinjuku and Nakameguro's BRICK & MORTAR will host an event to travel to Lebanon, the "Paris of the Middle East"

Apr 20, 2016

Lifestyle shop BRICK&MORTAR will be holding a limited-time event, "From Beirut," showcasing Lebanese goods. The event will run from April 29th to May 15th at the Brick & Mortar Nakameguro flagship store (1-4-4 Nakameguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, 1F), and from May 18th to 31st at the Brick & Mortar Lumine Shinjuku store. "From Beirut" is an event organized by Brick & Mortar that explores the roots of Japanese culture. Following the first event, "From Turkey," held last June, which focused on Turkish items, this time, the event will introduce products discovered in the vicinity of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, located at the western end of the Silk Road and once known as the Paris of the Middle East. Among the participating brands, Senteurs d'Orient made its Japanese debut last fall. ORIENT499 offers home cosmetics made with 100% natural plant-based ingredients and fragrances, using high-quality plants and flowers, aromatic herbs, olive oil, palm oil, and other ingredients sourced from around the world. ORIENT499 is a select shop offering a wide selection of goods that combine traditional Middle Eastern craftsmanship with modern tastes, including ethnic apparel, spicy scented aroma candles, and objects by local artists. In addition to Lebanese products, the store also carries works and crafts by selected artists from Syria, Turkey, Morocco, and other countries. Other items on offer include FRAGRANCES HUBERT FATAL, which offers high-end fragrances carefully crafted in Grasse, a major perfume producing region, and ORIENTAL BATH BEAUTY, which offers natural soaps and skincare products derived from the ancient Orient.

In addition, a reception will be held at Brick & Mortar Nakameguro main store from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on May 12th, where you can enjoy food prepared by Ran, a chef well versed in Middle Eastern cuisine, and Lebanese wine.
