Chanel's Spring/Summer 2016 Haute Couture collection was unveiled at the Grand Palais in Paris's 8th arrondissement. A simple wooden structure was specially constructed for the occasion, and models walked through a spacious garden lush with fresh greenery.

Inheriting the will of Gabrielle Chanel, the "Queen of Beige," this season's color palette was based on beige, including ecru, ivory, raw silk, and mocha. Lightweight materials complemented the natural hues, and custom-made wooden beads and embroidered bee motifs were incorporated, creating a luxurious yet eco-friendly look.

As Karl Lagerfeld said, "It started with the silhouette," voluminous contrasts stood out, such as a short jacket with large oval sleeves paired with a long pencil skirt, or a slim jacket paired with a full skirt that reached down to the ankles.

Models also appeared in two-tone cork shoes and smartphone cases around their waists.

Famous people in attendance included actresses Ayami Nakajo, Diane Kruger, Gwyneth Paltrow, Monica Bellucci, Cara Delevingne, and Caroline de Maigret.
