Chanel's new bejeweled eyewear collection is themed around the camellia, Gabrielle Chanel's favorite flower.

CHANEL will launch its 2016 Bejeweled Eyewear Collection in May, themed around the camellia, Gabrielle Chanel's beloved flower. Now in its fourth year, the collection features a unique design incorporating Romanesque and Baroque hues. Each temple is intricately crafted with a camellia motif, Gabrielle Chanel's beloved flower. Two types of camellias are hand-enameled in a variety of colors that coordinate with the frame, including gold metal, silver, and ruthenium, while others are lacquered for a more relief effect, along with a subtle CC logo. The sunglasses are available in four styles: a slim cat-eye, a rounded cat-eye, a maxi square, and a retro butterfly. The optical frames are available in two styles and in colors such as intense black, burgundy, navy blue, tortoiseshell, sea green, and gray. All items in this collection are engraved with a hallmark that guarantees the quality of the metal.
