ISSEY MIYAKE opened a pop-up shop selling its 2016 Spring/Summer collection, "Botanical Delights," on March 30th at Kotokoto Stage 11 on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store and other locations. The collection was inspired by the vibrant vitality of jungle plants. Items include jackets (160,000 yen), tops (80,000 yen), skirts (100,000 yen), necklaces (22,000 yen), bangles (18,000 yen), and earrings (12,000 yen) made with colorful paper thread fringe, as well as aluminum and wood accessories such as jungle-print T-shirts (19,000 yen), wood bangles (25,000 yen), and wood necklaces (28,000 yen). A dress (150,000 yen) exclusive to the Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Isetan Shinjuku Store will also be available.
This pop-up shop will feature sculptor Akinori Matsumoto, who will liven up the venue with a "Sound Object," a sound-emitting device made from wood and bamboo. In addition to the regular items from the 2016 Spring/Summer collection, a fringe dress (150,000 yen) will also be available exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda Main Stores.
The pop-up shop will be open from March 30th to April 5th at Kotokoto Stage 11 on the first floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store, and will then be moved to ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE/GINZA from April 1st to May 9th, Center Park/The Stage #4 on the fourth floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from April 13th to 19th, and ISSEY MIYAKE/KOBE from April 14th to May 9th.
