Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has unveiled the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T Chronograph Tourbillon, a limited edition of 250 pieces featuring a beautiful combination of blue and titanium. When asked, "What's your favorite color?", watchmaking enthusiasts most frequently respond with blue. However, since its launch in 2016, the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T collection has avoided this color, instead opting for darker and gold-toned models. The adoption of this blue color in a tourbillon chronograph marks the brand's first significant move into its tourbillon collection.

The Calibre Heuer 02T movement is a symbol of technology and an example of total control over industrial processes and production costs. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and houses an ultra-light carbon and titanium tourbillon cage. However, one of the greatest challenges for TAG Heuer's watchmakers was to accommodate the chronograph functions, automatic winding mechanism and flying tourbillon in a calibre that is just 31 mm in diameter. All of this had to be done while maintaining the ideal distance between the subdials to achieve a contemporary look.
This limited edition features a striking blue hue, even on the rubber protecting the bridges, crown, and pushers, and even on the bridge of the tourbillon cage that houses the movement beating inside the watch. For the first time in the Heuer 02T collection, the entire dial is finished in a blue sunburst pattern, creating an exquisite texture. The ceramic bezel with its tachymeter scale is also finished in a captivatingly reflective cerulean blue. The automatic rotor is PVD-coated to preserve the azur (blue) color scheme.
This watch, housed in a grade 5 titanium case, is presented on a grade 2 titanium bracelet. This material, also a first for the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T collection, not only offers its lightness but also lends the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T Chronograph Tourbillon a sporty yet elegant look.
