To celebrate the release of the 2021 Summer Capsule Collection, the Louis Vuitton Shibuya Men's Store will feature a window and pop-up space dedicated to the collection.
The Louis Vuitton Shibuya Men's Store is the Maison's first men's flagship store in the world. Since its opening, it has attracted attention for the "Louis Vuitton LV Squared Collection," a collaboration between Louis Vuitton Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh and Japanese artist NIGO®, the store's interior and windows designed to resemble a basketball court in the "LV x NBA" collaboration, and more recently, the appearance of "Zoom and Friends" characters alongside products from the 2021 Spring/Summer Men's Collection. The pop-up space, which showcases seasonal new releases through animation, has been transformed into a fresh and pop space showcasing the 2021 Summer Capsule Collection. The façade features the iconic Damier pattern made from twisted metal and glass. The entire space is brightly lit, day or night.
For this new window and pop-up space, COOK, a designer and graffiti artist from the esteemed LA-based hip-hop label Delicious Vinyl, created artwork. Colorful monogram motifs are arranged against a pastel gradient, creating a West Coast-inspired graffiti effect in the window and interior, perfectly fitting the Summer Capsule Collection. The window display features a room resembling a men's apartment, with COOK's artwork as the backdrop, and playful mannequins painted with spray paint. The pop-up space features a speaker display in the center of the ocean-blue floor, making the mannequins appear to be dancing to the music playing from the speakers. Virgil's summer capsule collection and COOK's artwork combine to welcome you into an artistic store.
