Daiso Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Daiso") will open the first store of its new business model, "Standard Products by DAISO," based on the concept of "A little better is always better," on the first floor of Shibuya Mark City (1-12-1 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku) on March 26, 2021. A 100-yen shop, "Daiso," is also scheduled to open on the same floor at the same time.

"Standard Products" is a new brand of lifestyle goods created to meet the growing need for high-quality, comfortable products that can be used for a long time due to changes in environment and lifestyles, and to make everyday items a little more fun. The store plans to stock approximately 1,300 original Standard Products items, including living room items such as mix-and-match storage boxes, tableware and other tableware, bags, clothing, and miscellaneous goods. Items will be centered around the 300 yen price range, and the store aims to further expand the 300 yen shop market by taking a different approach from 300 yen shops such as "THREEPPY" developed by Daiso.

We propose a new standard by specializing in basic, sophisticated designs that are easy to incorporate into daily life, regardless of age or gender. In addition to being easy to purchase and use, we offer products with a variety of materials and colors that match the season. Going forward, we will strengthen product development that is conscious of sustainability and environmental issues, such as using environmentally friendly materials. We plan to develop approximately 500 items per year and also consider selling them in our online shop.
