MIHARAYASUHIRO will be releasing collaboration items with Osamu Tezuka's manga "Phoenix" in mid-December. This fall/winter collection's theme, "Phoenix," was inspired by the work, and designer Mihara Yasuhiro decided on this collaboration with a "prayer for the future."
The manga "Phoenix" tells the story of a bird of fire that watches over humans who keep making the same mistakes over and over, hoping for the day when a wonderful world will come. The collaboration lineup includes 21 items, including long-sleeved and short-sleeved T-shirts (priced from ¥6,300 to ¥14,700), sweatshirts (¥18,900, ¥24,150) and polo shirts (¥10,500) and caps (¥9,975) with a patch featuring an explosion mark and the face of the Firebird. Additionally, camouflage-style print slip-ons (¥24,150), iPhone cases (¥7,140), scarves (¥18,900), denim pants (¥28,350) with the same pattern detailing, and vinyl clutch bags (¥8,820). All items except the denim pants are unisex. Available at Isetan directly managed stores, Isetan Shinjuku, select shops, and more. A pop-up store will also be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building in December. Inside the store, pages from the manga will be pasted on the walls, and clouds and spotlights hanging from the ceiling will recreate a scene featuring the Phoenix.
The brand has been actively collaborating this season, releasing clothing and shoes in collaboration with HYSTERIC GLAMOUR in October, handbag manufacturer Ikeda Kogei in November, and a collaborative bag with TUMI using Nishijin textiles in December.
