Actress Michelle Williams was born on September 9, 1980, in Montana, USA. She is the youngest of five children. At age nine, she moved to San Diego, California, to study acting. At age 14, she made her entertainment debut in the film "Lassie." Her role as Jen Lindley in the TV series "Dawson's Creek," which aired from 1998 to 2003, became a huge hit, and she rose to fame. In 2005, she was nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and an Independent Spirit Award for her role in "Brokeback Mountain." She became engaged to her co-star, actor Heath Ledger, and gave birth to a daughter in October of the same year. She was also nominated for numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress, for her role in "Blue Valentine" in 2010, but did not win. However, in 2011 she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in My Week with Marilyn.

She broke off her engagement to Heath in September 2007. After his death in January 2008, she dated film directors Spike Jonze and Jason Segel, but they also broke up.

She is currently the face of fashion brand LOUIS VUITTON's campaign for their 2013-14 AW collection.
