Versace to release items commemorating its 35th anniversary, with simultaneous pop-up stores at Hankyu Men's Tokyo and Osaka

Sep 10, 2013

Versace, celebrating its 35th anniversary this fall, will release items featuring the brand's iconic motifs, including baroque patterns and the Medusa. The lineup includes a down jacket with a baroque print and leather details (¥302,400), a quilted jacket paired with a silk scarf (¥268,800), and eyewear (¥30,450) that recreates a 1990s design by founding designer Gianni Versace. Also celebrating the anniversary, pop-up stores will be open simultaneously at Hankyu Men's Tokyo and Hankyu Men's Osaka from September 11th to 17th. They will carry a Hankyu-exclusive down vest (¥184,800), new items for this fall/winter collection, and jewelry collections. The brand was founded by Gianni in 1978. Currently, Gianni Versace's sister, Donatella Versace, serves as creative director. There are over 90 street stores and 120 shop-in-shops around the world. In 2000, the brand opened the world's first luxury hotel run by a luxury brand, Palazzo Versace, and plans are underway to open stores in Dubai and Macau.
