PARCO Co., Ltd. is pleased to present Tadanobu Asano's latest exhibition at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO on the fourth floor of Shibuya PARCO. This exhibition will fill PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO with approximately 250 works, ranging from large-scale canvases from his debut as an artist to brand new objects scheduled for completion at the exhibition venue. Tadanobu Asano has produced a wide variety of works, including drawings, paintings, and collages using acrylic, pencil, and ballpoint pen. In recent years, he has incorporated watercolor and oil painting techniques, expanding his color palette at an astonishing pace. Neo-silk prints will be on display and for sale at the venue, as well as original and related merchandise. We look forward to introducing this work in your media.

Tadanobu Asano | TADANOBU ASANO
Born on November 27th, 1973 in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Made his screen debut in 1990 in Bataashi Kingyo. In 2008, his starring role in "Mongol" was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, garnering considerable attention.
In 2011, he made his Hollywood debut in "Thor."
In 2014, he won the Best Actor Award at the Moscow International Film Festival for "My Man." His starring role in "The Third Reich" won the Best Director award at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard section, and "Standing on the Edge" won the Jury Prize in the same section at the same festival in 2016.
Upcoming films include Netflix's "KATE," the films "Minamata" and "Mortal Kombat," and he has also been cast in the NHK morning drama "Okaeri Mone."


He has a long musical career, having worked with bands such as PEACE PILL, known for the full-length instrumental work "The Story of When an Ant Gets Stepped on" (2002), before forming SODA! in 2013 with fellow hardcore friends from his hometown of Yokohama.
He is the vocalist of SODA!, a band that is making rapid progress with its unprecedented pop musicality.

Major exhibitions include the solo exhibition "error" (1999 / Little More Gallery [Tokyo]), the solo exhibition "BUNCH" (2003 / Little More Gallery [Tokyo]), the solo exhibition "urge" (2013 / Nuisance Gallery [Tokyo]), and the solo exhibition "TADANOBU ASANO 3634" (2018-2019 / Watari-um [Tokyo]).
His work has also been included in the special exhibition "Rokko Meets Art: Art Walk 2019" (Rokko Mountains, Kobe City [Hyogo]) and the comprehensive art festival "Reborn-Art Festival 2019" (Ishinomaki City, Oshika Peninsula, etc. [Miyagi]).
His art books include "error" (1999 / Little More), "BUNCH" (2003 / Little More), and "The Water Won't Stop at the Faucet" (2018 / HeHe).
