Roger Vivier's pop-up shop opens in Harajuku. Brand book and limited edition pumps also available.

A pop-up shop for French luxury shoe brand Roger Vivier has opened at Gallery Common (5-11-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku) in Harajuku, Tokyo. It will be open until April 27th. The shop features the brand's full collection, including shoes, bags, and sunglasses. This season's theme is "Urban Summer," and the collection features the "Belle Vivier" series, featuring the brand's iconic square buckle, and the "Prismic" series, featuring geometric patterns, in vibrant colors like pink, blue, and yellow. Limited-edition pumps are also available for the event. A red and pink two-tone pump (90,300 yen) and a black and pink pump pattern (118,650 yen) are available exclusively. A visual book summarizing the brand's history, "Roger Vivier" (7,350 yen), is also available. Available exclusively at this shop and the Hankyu Umeda branch. In addition, the brand is scheduled to open its first store in eastern Japan in September of this year when Matsuya Ginza renovates. Yoriko Takuma, Executive Vice President of Tod's Japan, which owns the brand, said, "Ginza is an important market for the brand, and we had been considering opening a store there for some time. We have been working with Matsuya since the brand's relaunch, and decided to open a store there when the Ginza store renovated in September." Roger Vivier was founded in 1937 by shoe designer Roger Vivier. He also designed shoes for top fashion houses such as Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. After the founder's death in 1998, the brand was revived in 2001 under the Tod's Group umbrella thanks to the efforts of model and current brand ambassador Ines de la Fressange. Since 2003, Bruno Frisoni has served as creative director. The company has boutiques in Europe, the United States, China, and other countries, and opened a store in Japan at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store in 2009.
