To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Starbucks®, a specially blended coffee, the "Starbucks® Anniversary Blend," and seven limited-edition merchandise designs will be available at Starbucks stores nationwide (with some exceptions) and the official Starbucks online store starting March 17th.

What is the "Starbucks® Anniversary Blend"?

Starbucks was founded in Seattle, USA in 1971. In 1996, the "Starbucks® Anniversary Blend" coffee was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the company's founding. This blended coffee, with its full-bodied, powerful flavor and the mystical smile of the two-tailed mermaid "Siren," Starbucks' eternal symbol, is revived annually as a limited-edition fall staple at Starbucks, and has proven popular. 1996 also saw the opening of the first Starbucks store in Japan, the Ginza Matsuya-dori Store, marking the company's expansion into new markets outside of North America.

And now, in 2021, Starbucks celebrates 50 years since its founding and 25 years since its arrival in Japan, and the Starbucks® Anniversary Blend will be released in specially designed packaging.

"Starbucks® Anniversary The greatest feature of the "Blend" has remained unchanged for 25 years: its smooth, powerful, and spicy flavor, based on coffee from Indonesia, a coffee-producing region that has been loved since the company's founding. This year, coffee beans from Sulawesi and West Java are blended with aged Sumatra, resulting in a complex and sophisticated flavor with a spicy note reminiscent of cedar, and notes of black truffle and tarragon.

Limited-edition merchandise to add color to your celebrations
