Cartier has released two new bag collections, the Jeanne Toussaint Collection and the Louis Cartier Collection. The designs are modeled after Louis Cartier, who established the brand's style, and his muse, Jeanne Toussaint, who served as chief executive officer of the jewelry division. The collections feature understated clasps inspired by the 1930 archives, chains and mirrors based on the 1933 archives, and stamps bearing the brand's motif, which were created at the Cartier Creation Studio in 1999. The Jeanne Toussaint collection includes chain bags (black and burgundy for 399,000 yen each, white for 518,000 yen), mini totes (black and burgundy for 270,000 yen each, white for 350,000 yen), LM totes (black and burgundy for 367,000 yen each, white for 1,515,000 yen, limited to 50 pieces worldwide), and chain purses (black for 231,000 yen). The Louis Cartier collection includes a document holder (black and caramel, 351,000 yen each), a messenger bag (black calfskin, 288,000 yen; black crocodile, limited to 10 pieces worldwide, 4,788,000 yen), a Boston bag (caramel, 415,000 yen), a briefcase (black, 383,000 yen), and a portfolio (black calfskin, 159,500 yen; gray crocodile, limited to 10 pieces worldwide, 2,394,000 yen). The Jeanne Toussaint collection also offers a bespoke service. Choose from three models: a chain bag, a mini tote, and a chain purse, in three crocodile leather colors, three stone types, and three metal finishes. Up to six characters can be engraved on the mirror. Crafted in France, the collection takes approximately six months to complete.
