The fifth edition of "BA to MA," a joint exhibition of design, art, and products, will be held at two venues and over two sessions starting in late October.
From October 23rd to 27th, the five-day "BA to MA Trade Show," which showcases trends to buyers and the press, will be held at Laforet Harajuku. Unlike typical exhibitions, this one is open to the public, aiming to foster interaction between manufacturers and end users. This year's venue is themed around "factory," and proposes that sellers communicate with consumers about the background of product creation and after-sales care.
The following week, starting on the 31st, "BA to MA Information" will be held primarily at Omotesando Hills. This event is open to the public. It will introduce the latest in interior design and design, including furniture, lighting, and kitchenware, as well as art pieces and gifts by creators not yet well-known in Japan. Seminars by interior stylists and various workshops are also planned.
"Ba to Ma" was founded as a "ba (place) and ma (venue)" that proposes ways to enrich everyday life through interior design, design, and art. It has been held annually since October 2010 by the Ba to Ma division of H.P. FRANCE, directed by Masato Baba. Starting this year, a Christmas-themed event will be held in May, expanding the event to be held twice a year.
