
Isetan Shinjuku will collaborate with Ito En to host the "Green Tea Party" event, proposing a new lifestyle through green tea, from November 3rd to 10th at Center Park/The Stage #5 on the 5th floor of the main building, Kitchen Dining/Taste of Drinks, and Beauty Apothecary on the 2nd basement floor.
The purpose of this event is to promote the appeal of green tea, a traditional Japanese culture, both domestically and internationally through Mitsukoshi Isetan's "JAPAN SENSES" campaign, which widely promotes Japanese craftsmanship both domestically and internationally, and Ito En, which continues to create new value in green tea.
In addition, Isetan and Ito En's shared goals of expanding demand for new communication styles incorporating a female perspective and promoting the creation of attractive sales floors, and the event was planned by a total of 15 female employees from both companies.
The event will be based on four themes: "Decorate," "Play," "Send," and "Enjoy," and will promote "encounters with new green tea." "Kazaru" will showcase table coordination for parties where green tea can be enjoyed. Culinary expert Nana Miyazawa will be presenting a "new table style for enjoying tea," proposing a Japanese-Western fusion table coordination featuring ITO EN green tea and Western-style tableware. "Asobi" will feature a special "ITOEN TEA BAR" at the venue, offering tea sommelier Yutaka Kato's ITO EN tea-based tea arrangements (various blends starting at 700 yen) and matching snacks. A tasting session using different types of tea and different glasses will also be held. Furthermore, a green tea tasting seminar will be held during the event, showcasing new ways to drink green tea. Tea prepared specifically for the event will be served to guests by ITO EN tea masters and tea tasters, who will explain the differences in flavor depending on the variety, origin, production method, temperature, and more. Riedel glasses will be used to bring out the delicate characteristics of each tea.
"Okuru" is selling the "Green Tea Party Special Gift Set" (10 Ito En tea bags and one type of dried fruit / 2,250 yen), a perfect gift set for small gifts or as a treat for yourself. This gift proposes a new way to drink tea by adding dried fruit to green tea, making it a novel tea set that allows you to enjoy the marriage of bitterness and sweetness and even savor the dried fruit after you've finished drinking.
"Ajiwau" will be selling simple gluten-free rice flour matcha sables (1,300 yen) made with Ito En matcha, and rice flour granola sables (1,500 yen) made with bittersweet matcha and the mild flavor of cashew nuts at Beauty Apothecary on the second basement floor of the store.
