
An exhibition of works by Foujita Tsuguharu, a representative painter of the École de Paris, titled "Tsuguharu Foujita: Drawings and Prints," will be held from November 25th to December 1st at the art gallery on the 5th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.
Tsuguharu Foujita was a Japanese Western-style painter who achieved success in France and died there. The exhibition will feature drawings and prints, including his masterpiece "The Enchanted River," which depicts the landscapes and street corners of Paris, which he loved.
In addition, to commemorate the release of the film "FOUJITA," starring Joe Odagiri, which depicts the life of Foujita Tsuguharu, which will be released nationwide on November 14th, replicas of paintings used in the film will be on display next to the escalator on the 7th floor of the main building.
