Marni presents two Christmas projects, limited edition bags and wallets in charity baskets

Nov 4, 2015

Marni is launching two projects in time for the Christmas season: "Marni Charity Basket" and "Marni-Go-Round Holiday Greetings." Marni's Christmas charity project, launched in 2006, will see the release of limited-edition bags handwoven by Colombian artisans and farmers using traditional techniques. Profits from the "Marni Charity Basket" project will be donated to the Vimala Association, an organization that supports children. The donations will be used to support 50 physically disabled children and to repair and maintain a school in India. The bags, available in a variety of colors, will be available at pop-up shops opening at the Isetan Shinjuku store from November 25th to December 1st and at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from November 25th to December 25th.

"Marni-Go-Round Holiday Greetings" will be available exclusively on the Marni official online store, and will include items such as the Museo bag (113,000 yen) and clutch bag (70,000 yen) that appeared in the 2015 Pre-Fall Collection, as well as two sizes of wallet (L size 61,000 yen, S size 53,000 yen). Each item will be available in new colors: black & gold and white & silver. Customers who purchase the products will receive a postcard designed with the image of "enjoying a world trip on holiday." In addition, to coincide with the release, the official online store will be revealing a weekly update of the world travels of "Marni-Go-Round" for a limited time from November to the end of December.
