Marni has unveiled the advertising campaign visuals for its Fall/Winter 2015-16 women's collection. The visuals are surprisingly nonchalant. Top model Marte May van Haaster, clad in the brand's new Fall/Winter collection, lies on the floor and leans against an upturned table. Rather than striking a perfect pose for the camera, her calm, carefree demeanor seems to reflect the effortless mood now mainstream in fashion. The art direction was handled by GB65, whose work includes Emilio Pucci and Versace. Marni's surreal situations and captivating, vibrant colors are on full display in this campaign. The photos were also taken by British photographer Jackie Nickerson. While working as a fashion photographer for magazines like Vogue and Elle in the 1990s, she is now known for her series of photographs of African people and nature. Her skills as a journalist are also highly acclaimed, and she continues to work across the boundaries between fashion and art. Regarding this shoot, she had this to say: "I love Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni's experimental, sometimes rebellious, subversive approach to design. This visual style combines refined elegance with a chaotic sensibility. I believe that a photograph should draw the eye immediately to the person in the photograph. The clothes don't own the person; it's the people wearing the clothes." Starting with the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection, the brand will be launching advertising campaigns every season.
