Christian Louboutin will open its first Asia-only bag and leather goods boutique at Bag Galleries on the first floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store on November 3rd, and on the second floor of Matsuya Ginza on November 18th.
The two new stores were designed by British design firm HOUSEHOLD. The design reflects Japanese culture's affinity with modern minimalism and the brand's signature eclecticism. Antique-finished brass shelves and purple and blue chairs with luxurious fabrics are set against a red carpet. Rose gold and bronze mirrors are layered over the original glass display.
The Matsuya Ginza store also features Christian Louboutin's signature red maple herringbone columns. The seasonal bags are displayed on stands designed to be adorned with flowers.
The Christian Louboutin 16SS collection will feature the "Paloma" handbag and its companion clutch bag. Items inspired by the designer's beloved cabaret and showgirls will also be available. Other items include "Sweet Charity" and "Sweety Charity," bags that update the ribbon motif with an edgy design, and the mid-sized "Sweet Charity Baby" bag. The "Triloubi" bag, which can be worn crossbody or on the shoulder and features seasonal colors and prints, will also be available in two sizes, large and small.
