Onitsuka Tiger, a Japanese fashion brand, offers contemporary collections that blend fashion and sports, heritage and innovation.

Onitsuka Tiger presented its Fall/Winter 21 collection in film format for the first time at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, February 27, 2021 (11:00 AM Italian time).
Under the direction of Creative Director Andrea Pompilio, the brand began at Pitti Uomo in 2013 and has continued to present its latest collections at Tokyo Collection since 2014. This will be the brand's first participation in Milan Fashion Week. Milan is a city that Creative Director Andrea Pompilio is based in, and Onitsuka Tiger opened its first Italian flagship store last year on December 18, 2020, under the creative direction of Andrea (architect: Filippo Dini). With a design theme of "Past and Present," and based in Tokyo and Milan, the decision to present the collection in Milan was an inevitable one for this brand, which operates from two bases: Tokyo and Milan. Going forward, the brand plans to gradually expand its scope of activity to Europe, primarily in Milan and London.
The keyword for the Fall/Winter 2021 collection is the majestic nature of the towering Himalayan Mountains in winter. It also draws inspiration from the trekking and hiking boom of the 1970s.

This season, Andrea collaborated with Toyoki Adachi, designer and art director of the textile graphic brand "nowartt," to create graphics that are incorporated into the collection pieces. This textile graphic, born from a blend of two opposing concepts—vintage x art, analog (hand-drawn) x digital—is featured on classic tracksuits, down jackets, and backpacks.

The collection also reflects Onitsuka Tiger's origins in lifestyle technology, specializing in functionality, and the brand's aesthetic, characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and design details. Key items in the collection include fleece, which provides excellent warmth and protection from the cold in winter, and a nylon series featuring a combination of eye-catching neon colors and unique, intricate embroidery.

At the same time, the collection will also feature original styling that makes the most of minimalist design items. Puffer coats and striped jackets and dresses create a modern atmosphere with a focus on the simple elements.
Onitsuka Tiger footwear, which has enthusiastic support in many countries around the world, will also be introducing a diverse lineup of unique designs this season, including boots with strong grip that evoke the image of clinging to and climbing even the steepest mountains, likening urban life (metropolitan mentality) and modern society to mountains. The collection will be unveiled in film format and digitally distributed on the official website (https://www.cameramoda.it/en/milano-moda-donna/) during Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Milan Fashion Week). The film features the next generation of artists active in Milan, including music artist M¥SS KETA, dance performer GABRIELE ESPOSITO, and painter and mural artist OZMO. The aim of this film, "UNFASHIONSHOW," is to humorously portray Onitsuka Tiger's brand personality through music, movement, and art, and the three artists have created a dynamic and lively work.
