Blue Bottle Coffee Japan LLC installed the Blue Bottle Coffee Quick Stand, a vending machine exclusively for Blue Bottle Coffee, at Tokyu Department Store Kichijoji on February 12, 2021, and at Kichijoji Parco on February 26.

With lifestyles changing dramatically and more people enjoying coffee at home, Blue Bottle Coffee wanted to enable customers to enjoy high-quality specialty coffee even in places where there are no cafes or outside of business hours. In August of last year, the brand developed its first vending machine exclusively for Blue Bottle Coffee, the Blue Bottle Coffee Quick Stand, and installed it in a parking lot in Shibuya Ward. Just like our cafes, Blue Bottle Coffee Quick Stands offer fresh coffee beans roasted at our own roastery in Japan. They also offer unique products like cold brew canned coffee and Blue Bottle yokan, a perfect pairing with coffee. These quick and easy purchases cater to a wide range of needs and are popular with many customers. We continue to expand our locations, bringing our total to seven locations in Tokyo, including two in Kichijoji. By installing these Quick Stands in both locations, we hope to enable customers in the Kichijoji area, where we have yet to open a cafe, to enjoy the Blue Bottle Coffee brand experience and products. We also plan to install a Quick Stand in the entrance hall (residents-only area) of Tokyo Port City Takeshiba Residence Tower on March 1, 2021. In parallel with opening new cafes, we will continue to explore the possibility of expanding our products to more locations, including parking lots and other vacant spaces, commercial facilities, and office space, to meet customer needs.
