A two-day market exploring Scandinavian lifestyles through "objects" to be held in Aoyama

Nov 30, 2015

"Nordic Lifestyle Market - a quiet day -," exploring the aesthetics of Scandinavian life through objects, will be held on December 5th and 6th in the plaza in front of the United Nations University in Aoyama, Tokyo.

In Scandinavia, cherishing and passing down the objects and designs that add color to everyday life is a part of life, and tableware and tools made over 50 years ago still coexist in everyday life. This event explores the aesthetics of Scandinavian life through objects, exploring what would happen if such a Scandinavian lifestyle were recreated in the metropolis of Tokyo.

The venue will feature Scandinavian furniture from brands such as ELEPHANT, Fuglen, and Mikkeller, vintage ceramics and glassware, coffee, books, records, and a florist. The latest product designs will be imported from Scandinavia, recreating the local market and lifestyle, culture, and design scene.

Exhibitors include Fikafabriken, MICHIO OKAMOTO, yovalo, LINOKA Kukka, pippuri, o-moro, koko atelier, Russell Jokela, Cafe Daisy, i-florist, and more.
