Sunglasses brand BLANC opens limited store in Harajuku. Exhibits at Bon Marché in France this summer.

Aug 1, 2014

Eyewear brand BLANC will open its first pop-up store at the pop-up dining space "GRAIN" in Harajuku, Tokyo, for three days only, from August 1st to 3rd. The store will stock the full lineup, including sunglasses and optical lines released in Spring/Summer 2014, as well as new summer items. Four of the nine styles will feature mirrored lenses for the summer items. Launched in 2012, BLANC manufactures its glasses in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, which boasts a high share of the domestic eyeglass frame market. The accent color on the temple tips is its signature feature. The brand will also be the only eyewear brand to participate in the "Le Japon Rive Gauche Exhibition," a special exhibition opening on August 30th at Le Bon Marché, the world's oldest department store in Paris. The brand caught the eye of a buyer from the store who came to Japan to purchase items for the exhibition, and it was decided that the brand would be exhibited at the exhibition. At the exhibition, some items will be available with different lens colors, in accordance with Bon Marché's wishes.
