Misty Lake Soup
A traditional Scandinavian salmon soup with a touch of Japanese flavor, added with three-year-aged mirin, known for its mellow umami. This fragrant cream soup also contains dill, an essential ingredient in Finnish cuisine.

Earth Star Soup
A simple yet flavorful soup made with plenty of yellow peas, simmered until they fall apart in your mouth. The kelp stock brings out the full flavor of the beans, while herbs add an accent.

White Forest Soup
A soup where you can enjoy the contrast of the textures of melt-in-your-mouth cauliflower, which still retains just the right amount of crunch, and the popping texture of glutinous barley. The rich aftertaste of the chicken soup-based consommé soup, made with carefully filtered tomatoes, and the deep flavor of roasted sake fills your mouth.

The soup cups are also inspired by the world of minä perhonen
The softly shaped bird pattern surrounds the soup cup. The appearance changes depending on the angle from which you view it, so what kind of soup should you serve in this cup today? Spending time thinking about such things can enrich your daily life.

Mina Perhonen
The brand begins by creating fabric using original designs. It works in collaboration with fabric producers both in Japan and overseas, and is also actively involved in material and technology development. The brand name was taken from a Finnish word, as the designer was inspired by the lifestyle and culture of Scandinavia during his frequent travels there. "Minä" means "I" and "perhonen" means "butterfly." The name embodies the desire to create designs that resemble the beautiful wings of a butterfly with a light touch.

Designer / Founder - Akira Minagawa
Born in 1967. Founded "minä," the predecessor to "minä perhonen," in 1995. Focusing on textile designs primarily made with hand-drawn patterns, he is also engaged in design activities that are close to everyday life, including clothing, furniture, tableware, and spatial direction for stores and accommodations. He has provided designs for textile brands such as Denmark's Kvadrat and Sweden's KLIPPAN, as well as Italian ceramics brand GINORI 1735, and has also worked on illustrations for newspapers and magazines.
