Lumine Shinjuku will host the ethical event "LUMINE AUTUMN CINEMA & Marche" from October 25th.
This event is part of Lumine's environmental promotion project "choroko." Various events will be held at the L Terrace on the rooftop of Lumine Shinjuku Lumine 1, with the themes of "Long Autumn Nights" and "Autumn Appetite."
During the event, which runs until November 3rd, a film will be screened every day under the title "Roof Top Cinema." The titles selected are based on the theme of "Thinking Yourself," and films such as "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "What Fashion Taught Me" will be screened. The free admission floor will be illuminated with candles, and food and drinks essential for moviegoing will be available for purchase. Screenings begin at 7:00 PM on weekdays and 6:30 PM on weekends and holidays.
Food and drink stalls will also be set up for a three-day limited period starting November 1st. The theme of this event is "organic" and "handmade," and food and drink booths will offer Argentine-style hot dogs, organic bread, soup, and more. The market will sell bento boxes, ginger drinks, granola, and more. There will also be a pop-up shop by Kyoto Montsuki, and the secondhand clothing recycling project "PANDA BLACK" will offer a service to dye clothes and jeans black. On November 1st, a talk show titled "Interpreting Trends from an Ethical Perspective" will be held, featuring guests such as street photographer Rei Shito and fashion journalist Yoshiko Ikoma. There will also be a lecture by Starbucks coffee specialist Shojiro Tahara titled "A Mini Seminar on Enjoying Deliciously Ethical Coffee." Other events planned for the event include "Lessons on Winter Looks with Organic Cosmetics" and "Organic Aroma Hand Care" at Lumine 1 stores.
