The new tartan pattern "Blackwatch/Isetan Men's" debuted at Isetan Men's on October 29th. In conjunction with this, a number of limited-edition items featuring the same pattern will be available in the promotional space on the first floor of the building. The promotion in this space will run until November 11th.
At a press event on the morning of the 29th, a special edition "The New Blackwatch MINI" (not for sale) of "The New MINI 5 Door" decorated with the same pattern was unveiled from a giant Blackwatch/Isetan shopping bag. This car will be on display next to the main entrance of Isetan Men's until November 4th. Limited-edition items featuring the new pattern include a Margaret Howell jacket (69,000 yen) with the back lining made of Black Watch/Isetan Men's fabric from Lochcarron, Scotland, and a Mackintosh Philosophy packable coat (44,000 yen) with the full-body design, as well as SPINGLE MOVE sneakers (18,000 yen) with the same pattern on the surface and HIROSHI TSUBOUCHI sneakers (27,000 yen) in a combination with leather. Isetan Men's original stationery items such as a small item tray (2,000 yen), pen case (3,500 yen), and A4 file (4,000 yen) will also be available. Other items that will be available include a classic PORTER shoulder bag (15,120 yen), TOOT boxer briefs (4,300 yen), Nicolai Bergmann preserved flower boxes (S 9,000 yen, M 16,000 yen), and even a PIERRE HERME PARIS macaron assortment (6 pieces/2,400 yen), all in special boxes with the same pattern. Isetan Men's original stationery items will also be available, including a small item tray (2,000 yen), pen case (3,500 yen), and A4 file (4,000 yen).
Kotaro Taketsuru, grandson of Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka Whisky and the father of Japanese whiskey, who is the inspiration for the main character in the NHK morning drama series "Massan" that began airing in October, also visited the venue. Masataka Taketsuru has deep ties to Scotland, having traveled alone to Scotland, the home of tartan, and mastered the techniques of making authentic whiskey.
From the same day, a promotion featuring limited edition products featuring the "Macmillan/Isetan" and new "Black Watch/Isetan" patterns, which are primarily used in the main building of Isetan Shinjuku, which was renovated last fall, will also be held at The Stage on the first floor of the main building.
