The Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building 7th Floor Gallery will be hosting its first-ever "A New Wind - Kiyoshi Nakajima Painting Exhibition" from February 17, 2021. This exhibition will feature approximately 30 original paintings, including new works, and Refgraph Fine prints made using Echizen washi paper. Customers who purchase an original painting or print will receive a free autographed colored paper (with the artist's seal). Enjoy the nostalgic, imaginary landscapes of "hometown" that are so deeply rooted in the hearts of Japanese people, captivating viewers of all generations.

Nakajima Kiyoshi Profile
 
Born in Saga Prefecture in 1943. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tokyo and continued to study art on his own. He got a job at an advertising agency and won numerous awards as an art director. He then studied art at an art school in Paris, France, before going independent and becoming a freelancer. In 1982, he created image illustrations for NHK's "Minna no Uta," and in 1987 won the Graphics Award at the Bologna Children's Book Fair for "Kodama Myoto." In 2010, he donated 46 sliding door paintings to the Jojuin Temple of Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto. He currently holds solo exhibitions all over the country, and continues to exhibit his works. :
