Laura celebrates the opening of Tiffany Shinjuku store wearing a 53 million yen dress.

Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc. will open its flagship store, "Tiffany Shinjuku Store" (3-30-11 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) on October 20th. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on the 19th prior to the opening, with celebrity Laura in attendance to celebrate.

On this day, a special carpet in the brand's signature vibrant mint green, commonly known as "Tiffany Blue," was laid out in front of the store's main entrance. First up were Tiffany & Co. President Frederic Cumenal and Daniel Perel, president of Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc., followed by a smiling Laura, clad in a long white dress that boldly exposed her shoulders. Laura engaged in a conversation with the two in fluent English as she cut the ribbon, marking the opening ceremony.

After the ribbon-cutting, Laura held a talk session. When asked about her impressions of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, she excitedly commented, "I was surprised by how many people there were, but it felt great to show up in a beautiful dress and jewelry like today. It's been a long time since I've cut a ribbon, but it feels like a celebration of the opening."

Laura explained the key to her fashion coordination: "Tiffany has a blue vibe, so I wore a fluffy long dress. The necklace and earrings are the highlights. They're cute, aren't they?" The jewelry she wore that day totaled approximately 53 million yen. The necklace alone was an extremely expensive piece, weighing 49.45 carats. When asked how much it cost, Laura's eyes widened and she exclaimed, "Wow," but she also smiled and said, "It really shines. It's great."

When asked by the host what Tiffany means to her, she said, "I guess it's the brand I go to when something really special happens. And when I wear it, I feel like I've stepped up a level." She seemed captivated by the classiness of Tiffany.

Like the flagship store that opened this spring on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Tiffany Shinjuku store is a boutique that incorporates Tiffany's latest store design. The store, with a total floor area of approximately 330 square meters, is divided into three floors: the "Fashion Salon" (1st floor) which offers a selection of fashion jewelry, the "Fine Salon" (2nd floor) which offers a wide selection of Tiffany's proud diamond jewelry, and the "Bridal Salon" (3rd floor).
