Tiffany Yokohama Takashimaya store expands and renovates, opening new bridal salon

Oct 7, 2014

Tiffany & Co. reopened its newly relocated and expanded Tiffany Yokohama Takashimaya store on October 4th.
The store originally opened on the second floor of Yokohama Takashimaya in 2005. The newly redesigned store features a clean, fresh Tiffany image, with a white marble base and Tiffany blue accents. The interior features artwork themed around beautiful New York cityscapes and Tiffany jewelry, and is decorated with the "magnolia" motif, which appears frequently in Tiffany's archive sketches.
The total floor space is approximately 231 square meters. It is divided into two areas: an area focusing on fine jewelry and fashion jewelry, and a bridal salon focusing on bridal jewelry. The fine jewelry and fashion jewelry area features elegant walls finished in pale blue. The showcases display a variety of jewelry, including "Tiffany T," the debut collection by new design director Francesca Amfitheatrof. New private rooms have been installed so that customers can leisurely browse jewelry while sitting on sofas. Meanwhile, the bridal jewelry area features elegant white table settings. Model and singer Sumire appeared at the opening ceremony held the day before the reopening. Wearing a necklace featuring a total of 39.31 carats of rare yellow diamonds (worth ¥158.65 million), she commented, "I believe Tiffany is a timeless jewelry brand that can be worn anytime, anywhere, and at any age." Daniel Perel, president of Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc., also commented, "We are delighted that the new bridal area allows even more visitors to leisurely browse Tiffany's signature engagement and wedding rings in this luxurious space."
