On October 27th, Nozomi Ishiguro's fashion festival "Kawaii Hate Night" was held at the long-established Ginza club, CLUB DIANA. Following tambourine, NOZOMI ISHIGURO Haute Couture's SS15 collection was unveiled at the event. This season, Nozomi Ishiguro Haute Couture collaborated with Kyoto-based rock band FRYING DUTCHMAN. The first look featured vocalist Lee Tabasco striking a playful pose in a patterned suit, and the show opened with the band playing music. Next, a model wearing a cap over her bright red hair and a voluminous dress with multiple layers of gathers walked down the runway. Following this were dresses and shirts printed with Hello Kitty and graphic motifs in katakana characters reminiscent of manga onomatopoeia. Asymmetrical items, such as skirts lavishly made with pleats, ruffles, and gathers, moved differently from front, back, left, or right, creating a look brimming with dynamism. Also, loose socks, one of the signature items of 90s fashion, were exquisitely paired with boots, adding a touch of gimmick to the look. Ishiguro Nozomi's worldview, even in these seemingly nonsensical styles, is emblematic of Tokyo culture, imbued with a strong desire to enjoy fashion from the heart.
