Dior Homme presented its Summer 2015 collection at Paris Fashion Week on June 28th.

In creating the collection, Creative Director Kris Van Assche discovered a quote from Monsieur Dior's archives: "Traditions must be preserved for future generations. In our difficult times, it is the traditions of luxury and the flower of our civilization that must be upheld." To him, these words resonated like a beautiful manifesto.

Van Assche reflected everything he wanted to offer to the men who wear Dior Homme, including artists and businessmen. Starting with tailored suits made using both old and new techniques, the collection included a variety of pieces, including striped pieces inspired by the sea, blousons with prints and embroidery evocative of street art, and suits featuring the aforementioned quote from Monsieur Dior in graphic jacquard.

A classic white shirt and pants are coordinated with a striped knit vest reminiscent of the all-in-one swimsuits worn before the war, subtly bringing together polar elements such as classic and modern, formal and sporty, into a single style. This was also seen in many other looks, and the exquisite balance was expressed throughout the collection, pointing us to a new direction.
