About De Castelli
De Castelli's history dates back to the end of the 19th century. Originally, like Lamborghini, it was an Italian blacksmith manufacturer that produced agricultural machinery. In modern times, when fourth-generation CEO Albino Cerrato took over as CEO, the company boldly entered the field of elegant metal furniture manufacturing with the help of skilled craftsmen with extensive metal knowledge. At the same time, the company is not limited to furniture, but is also challenging itself with developing materials and objects to order. Among De Castelli's most famous projects in Italy, the monumental "Archimbuto" entrance sculpture for the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, designed by Italian architectural icon Cino Zucchi, is arguably the most well-known. Its quality and value have earned it acclaim, and what began as a temporary installation has now become a permanent exhibit. This expertise in aged metal finishing has earned it high praise from architects and renowned brands, and it has been adopted by numerous brand shops.

The Potential of Metal Furniture
De Castelli's furniture utilizes wood for its structure, keeping its weight manageable, while the entire surface is specially treated with metal, resulting in elegant yet imposing metal furniture. Unlike simply shiny metal, the pieces are aged with a unique, profound aesthetic, creating a timeless aesthetic. Of course, they are also fully functional as furniture. It also features ample storage space and ample storage. It's a rare piece of furniture that combines functionality and elegance with a unique presence. While metal furniture can be expensive due to its materials, processing, and weight, it can be preserved for generations, making it an attractive asset. Enjoy the fusion of nature's bounty and modern processing techniques for years to come.

The Story of How It Came to Japan
In June 2020, Aichi Metal, a metal processing company based in Nagoya, became the exclusive distributor for DeCastelli in Japan and began selling the product. Originally, Aichi Metal was not a trading company specializing in high-end furniture, but rather focused on accepting orders for metal products with specialized metal processing techniques. While traveling around the world in pursuit of metal processing technology, Aichi Metal's representative, Yamada, was deeply impressed by DeCastelli when he encountered it at the Milan Salone in Italy, marking the start of sales in Japan. Aichi Metals possesses similar technology, and at the same time, its expertise has earned it high praise from many architects and other professionals. Aichi Metals and De Castelli's approach to technology was surprisingly similar. After discussions, it was decided that Aichi Metals would handle the brand's expansion in Japan. De Castelli is a well-established high-end brand with a showroom in Milan. While this is typically the domain of trading companies, the decision to entrust the Japanese expansion to Aichi Metals was a testament to the close thinking and affinity between the two companies.

Example of a Product Series
■YOROI Yoroi Yoroi is a product inspired by samurai armor. The core of the design is a natural oak frame with surface parts covered in De Castelli's special metal. It consists of a large drawer, two smaller drawers, and curved doors on the left and right. Its vibrant metal-clad shape pursues minimalism while still delivering the impact of Art Deco.

■CELATO
Cerato means "hidden memories." Its sturdy exterior gives it the presence of a modern-day megalith, and just like the legend that "treasure lies beneath a sacred megalith," a secret space is hidden inside. Cerato is made up of multiple mosaic-like parts, each with its own beauty, function and individuality, and no two pieces are alike. This characteristic gives Cerato a unique atmosphere that blends tradition and modernity while still featuring an avant-garde design.

■MAREA
Marea is Italian for "tide," and as the name suggests, the metal surface, which still retains the warmth of the artisan's hands, oxidizes and shows overlapping traces of the passage of time, creating a delicate and artistic presence reminiscent of an ink painting. The beautiful design is like the tide sending out wave after wave, leaving its mark on the sand. Each product in the collection, which consists of a chest of drawers, sideboard, and cabinet, is finished by hand by an artisan, resulting in elegant watercolor patterns appearing on the metal surface, making each piece one of a kind.

■PANDORA 52
The PANDORA drawer unit, modeled after a traditional vase, is a modern treasure chest with a mysterious and striking impact. It was created to store and "hide" all kinds of things. Depending on the Pandora model, it has anywhere from one to six drawers, and its versatility means it can be used as a storage chest, storage table or bedside table, depending on your preference, making it suitable for a variety of spaces, from living rooms to bedrooms and bathrooms.
