Louis Vuitton will be holding the exhibition "LOUIS VUITTON &," in Harajuku, Tokyo from March 19 to May 16, 2021, which will present a journey through the House's 160-year history of creative exchanges and artistic collaborations.

This exhibition will focus on the history of respect and inspiration that has continually nurtured between the Maison and visionary Japanese artists. One of the main themes is to celebrate many renowned Japanese artists and international personalities, including Kansai Yamamoto, Hiroshi Fujiwara (FRAGMENT DESIGN), Yayoi Kusama, and NIGO®, and to showcase their collaborations with Louis Vuitton.
The exhibition traces the creative journey of a pioneering and forward-thinking Maison through 10 immersive spaces, including exceptional custom trunks from the early 20th century and beautiful window displays designed by Louis Vuitton's grandson, Gaston-Louis Vuitton. From reinterpretations of the iconic Monogram bags by contemporary creators such as Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Sherman, Rei Kawakubo, and Frank Gehry, to original collaborations and commissioned creations with artists such as Arata Isozaki, Richard Prince, and Zaha Hadid, to the recent Artycapucines collection—from traditional trunk-making to the artworks of Takashi Murakami's Superflat collection—a homage to savoir-faire and innovation is a common thread running through all the creations on display. This exhibition brings together talents from across the ages, offering an experience of crossing the bridge between Paris and Tokyo.
