Italian knitwear brand Cruciani has collaborated with the Mucha exhibition to release limited edition bracelets and tickets that come with the bracelet.
The limited edition "Mucha Star Bracelet," which is based on the six-pointed star motif that appears frequently in Mucha's works, comes in original packaging featuring Mucha's work, "La Traviata," and is available in 10 colors. It will be on sale at the "Mucha Foundation Treasures: Mucha Exhibition" venues (Tokyo, Niigata, Matsuyama, Sendai, and Sapporo) and on the NTV Shopping website from Saturday, March 9th to Sunday, June 15th, 2014.
In addition, the "SAKURA Bracelet," made of delicate lace in the color of pale cherry blossoms, is on sale in limited quantities in a set with an exhibition ticket until Friday, March 8th. It comes in the original Mucha exhibition packaging. The set is priced at 2,500 yen. They can be exchanged for vouchers at the merchandise booth at the Tokyo Exhibition (Mori Arts Center) from Saturday, March 9th to Sunday, May 19th.
Cruciani's clover motif bracelet, with its intricate lace design and wide range of colors, was a huge hit upon its release. Over 2 million units have been sold in its native Italy, and over 100,000 in Japan.
Mucha was a painter active from the late 19th century through to the 20th century. He came into the spotlight after creating a poster for a performance by the famous French actress Sarah Bernhardt. He is known for his works featuring graceful women, floral and plant patterns, and flowing curves, and is one of Art Nouveau's leading artists.
