Jan 30, 2021
Since its launch in 1952, the Navitimer has been a favorite of pilots and aviation enthusiasts, combining unique functionality and sophisticated design. A new variation of the black mother-of-pearl Navitimer, released last year, has been released. The subdials and the outer edge of the aviation slide rule are black, creating a more elegant and chic look. This is a special edition made exclusively for Japan.

The Navitimer: A Symbol of Aviation Watches
Since its launch in 1952, the Navitimer has shone as a symbol of aviation watches. It was the world's first chronograph with an aviation slide rule, and is a timeless classic, certified as the official timepiece of the AOPA (Aviation Pilots Association). This instantly recognizable Breitling chronograph, with its over 60-year history, has become one of the few highly functional and timeless icons of the 20th century. From the original to today's models, its precision and style have remained unchanged, and Breitling has only enhanced the performance of this historic model. It truly stands as a masterpiece, a symbol of aviation watchmaking.

Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Black Mother-of-Pearl Japan Edition
Last year, Breitling released the first Navitimer chronograph with a mother-of-pearl dial. The mother-of-pearl dial is a unique and highly sought-after detail in Japan. This time, the watch features a black mother-of-pearl dial, with the outer periphery of the aviation-grade rotary slide rule and subdials in black. The subdued hues create a more elegant color scheme. Like the previous model, this is a special edition for the Japanese market. The SPECIAL EDITION display, reserved for special models, is also displayed above the 12-hour counter. Inside the case, which combines functionality and sophistication, is the Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer that meets the highest standards for precision and reliability. The beautiful movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
