Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Autumn 2014, the world's largest international trade fair for apparel fabrics and accessories, will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in China from October 20 to 23.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event, and more than 3,500 suppliers from China and abroad are expected to exhibit across a venue of approximately 170,000 square meters. European exhibitors, including the annual popular Salon Europa and Milano Unica Pavilions, which feature France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the UK, are hoping to expand their business in the Asian market, where demand for premium products is growing.

In addition, the diverse offerings of pavilions specializing in Asian countries and regions, including India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand, are attracting buyers' attention. Other exhibitors include Cotton Council International, DuPont, Birla Cellulose, Hyosung, Invista, Korea Chemical Fibers Association (KCFA), Korea Textile and Textile Trade Association (KTTA), and Lenzing, as well as other major textile and cotton-related companies and organizations. Specially designed product zones will focus on denim products, eco-friendly materials, and wool. As approximately 15% of buyers at last year's show came to source denim, the Beyond Denim Hall has been expanded to offer a wide range of premium denim. The "All About Sustainability" zone will feature eco-friendly materials and fashion products, an education zone, and opportunities for discussions on industry trends and sustainability information. As wool is one of China's growing sectors, the exhibition will focus on high-end premium wool products.

In addition, there will be a fringe program including the 2015-16 AW Intertextile Directions Trend Forum, fashion shows, design competitions and seminars.

The event is organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade's Textile Industry Sub-Council (CCPIT-Tex) and the China Textile Information Center.
