Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation has announced its sales policy for sports stretch fabrics for the 2013 season. The two core brands are "Sunplay," a core fabric brand for swim and aqua fitness, and "ELACTION PRO," a stretch fabric brand designed to adapt to your movements.
"Sunplay" is available in four series: COOLMARINE, Sokan, UV, and Fit. "Sunplay COOLMARINE" is a UV-protective fashion fabric featuring vibrant colors and a high-quality texture, available in a wide variety of 42 colors.
"Sunplay Sokan" is a quick-drying fabric that provides a refreshing feel and protects the body. Its fast drying speed reduces the feeling of cold and stickiness after getting out of the pool.
"Sunplay UV" offers high UV protection. It uses "Sunpake," a polyester fiber blended with a special ceramic, and "Aqua Miracle," a special composite polyester fabric, to minimize damage to the skin. "Sunplay fit" is a highly durable material that is resistant to chlorine embrittlement. It uses spandex, which slows the progression of embrittlement, preventing damage to the fabric caused by chlorine.
The "ELACTION PRO" stretch material, which was launched last season, will also be expanded in its product lineup, with plans to broaden its use in swimwear and compression/conditioning wear. Described as the ultimate stretch material, "ELACTION PRO" achieves an excellent balance of superior fit and movement-following capabilities, earning acclaim in the market. Asahi Kasei Fibers aims to penetrate the rapidly growing compression/conditioning wear market with its unique high-stretch material.
In conjunction with the development of both brands, Asahi Kasei Fibers will also focus on promotion. In conjunction with the material launch event, a promotional video will be shown on the large screen at Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and consumer awareness will be increased through collaboration with apparel manufacturers that use the company's materials.
